I'm afraid that I don't know what it is you're looking for. Can you specify exactly what's missing from your door? Explaining the function of the part in question and seeing a picture of where it used to install would be a huge help. Thank you!

The picture shows the hardware missing on the door. The latching part. Ane the other side were it shuts missing the hardware also. Everything is there somebody unscrewed the two plates in the picture.

I'm still not sure I understand what's missing, but it sounds like it could be the keeper. This is the metal plate that the mortise lock hooks onto when you lock your door.

Please understand that it's very difficult to identify a part without the original to use as a reference; at this stage all I can do is offer you my best guess. With that in mind, I suggest looking at our 82-249. This is meant to work with mortise locks like our 82-239 or 82-265, which seems to be the same style you have now.

I cannot guarantee that this keeper will work, unfortunately. You'll have to review its design and dimensions and use your best judgement.

I understand that your door is missing two plates, but that doesn't really narrow down the list of possibilities. That is a very broad term and it could apply to about a million different parts on any given patio door.

My best guess based on your description is the keeper. This is a metal plate that connects to the latch, just like you described. If that's not correct, then I need you to go into more detail so that I have a better idea of what you're talking about.

Please understand that since the part is missing, I can't see it and I have no way of knowing what it is. There is an absolutely huge number of possible parts that fit your description. We're not just talking about one or two things, I'm talking about dozens. That's why in these situations it's important that you describe the part as clearly and with as much articulation as you can. I can only know what you tell me, and right now knowing that the part is a metal plate is just not enough to go by.
