This is a crossbow balance than can be replaced with our Series 850. In order to narrow down which of the balance you will need, we'd like for you to update us with the total length of the balance, the diameter of the spring, and width of the bottom white shoe.

A home owner from Adrian michigan says:
Totall length 52in with string 28in without.
1.2 cm diameter spring.
3 cm width.

Thanks for that information. I noticed you said the total length of the balance is "52". With these type of balances, the length measurement should end in an 1/2". If possible we'd like for you to reconfirm that measurement on a balance that is undamaged as possible. Make sure to measure it from the top of the nylon cap at the top to the bottom of the shoe at the bottom. It is very important for us to confirm the exact length, since many Series 850 crossbow balances aren't made anymore. Please update us with the correct length and we will take it from there.

A quick learner from Adrian michigam says:
For sure 28.5 in I checked you?re 850 series list and didn?t see this size however.

Ah, this is a discontinued balance. We recommend replacing this with a superior S795-28 balance. Measure your balance bottom. Series 795 uses a 1-1/4" shoe. If your shoe width is 3cm or 1-1/4", this balance is perfect for you. You'd just need a 26-021 pivot bar to convert your system over to the new balance.

If the shoe happens to be 1", you may need to swap it out for a 15-194. This is effortless, since the shoe just snaps into place on the new balance. See what you need.
