Mortise Lock Install

Question

Hi, I installed the new 82-265 mortise lock, however the lock has a safety button (that prevents the lock from locking if the door isn't completely closed) which is a little bit higher up than the previous lock safety button, preventing the lock from locking. Please let me know what to do next.

Hello there. We've heard of this problem before. It might be solved by packing out the keeper on your door frame with washers. Otherwise, try a new keeper compatible with the 82-265: the 82-249. Let me know if you have further questions.
