Plastic knob on latch handle is missing. Trying to find replacement black plastic knob

Thanks for posting. I'm afraid the exact lever for this handle set is no longer made. Unfortunately, your best bet would be to replace the entire handle set. Look at something like our 82-020. Compare all the dimensions to ensure that they match your old hardware. Let us know what you think.

The problem with the 82-020 is the 3 15/16" hole spacing. The original is 4 15/16". If a part was not available I was hoping to replace the handle with oen with the same hole spacing but I do not see a mortised handle assembly with that spacing.

If I have to switch to the 3 15/16" spacing will the latch be the same dimensions as the current one so all I would have to do is fill the old 4 15/16" holes and drill the new ones?

Ah, I see what you mean. I'm afraid we have nothing like this with that hole spacing. You could theoretically use our 82-005 surface mount handle set without having to drill new holes, but your mortise lock wouldn't be functional anymore.

You'd likely have to center a 3-15/16" handle set like our 82-020 to ensure that the thumb lever is in the same position.

Okay, thank you for looking into this. I guess the 82-020is my only option.
