My new double hook mortise lock doesn't line up

Question

I thought the 82-265 was the correct replacement part but it does not fit. I've attached a picture of the part I need.
It seems the locks are slightly off in spacing from the slots they need to fit into, but they look very similar. I'm also attaching a few pictures of the lock and the opposing face plate it needs to fit into.

Thank you for reaching out to us! We recommend adjusting the hooks on your mortise lock to see if that helps. If you watch the video below starting at the 0:23 mark, it will demonstrate exactly how to do so. Another option would be to replace your existing keeper with our 82-249 which is fully compatible with the 82-265 mortise lock.
