NEED A HANDLE WITH KEY LOCK

Landlord from Washington DC
hello,

I have a sliding patio door already installed and would very much like to change the handle to one with a key lock so someone can enter from the back.

Hi there!

Thank you for reaching out to us. If your handle's installation hole center spacing is 3-15/16", my recommendation would be the 82-030 and 82-310 key lock which can be adapted to the outside pull. You can see our blog post here where we detail the process.

what do you exactly mean by installation hole center spacing?

and where does the lock end up? wouldnt I need a new handle?

To determine the hole center spacing for your handle, you'd want to measure the distance between the two installation screw holes from the center of each screw hole. The image below will illustrate what I mean.

I'm not sure I understand your other questions, however. The 82-030 handle is compatible with your existing lock.
