Need Balance

Home Owner from USA
Hello,
I called earlier and am sending pictures of the Block and Tackle balance , the take outs and the window that does not close.

I noticed that the stamp says Length of 25 in. But my measurement of metal is 25.5 in or 25 5/8 in.

There are no broken parts that I see but window does not close and lock.

Pictures are attached.

Please suggest the exact length so I can close the window.

I need 3 blocka nd Tackle balance and 6 Take out clips.

We can supply this balance, but it has to be a custom order due to its configuration. A length of 25-5/8" is totally normal for this assembly, too, so everything seems to be on the level.

What I'll do now is email you a purchase link and price quote that will let you add 3 of these to your cart. You may then checkout as normal. As for the take out clip, this is our 16-002, which is sold separately. Don't forget to also add this to your cart before you finalize your order.

Thank you for your expert advice. Do you think that the stamp on the Length i.e 25 in. is not correct. Am I getting the exact kind in picture or a little longer?

Also is the weight of 16 lb for window ok for the specification?

I did not receive the purchase link email yet?

It's important to understand that the stamp does not represent a measurement or weight of any kind, it's just an abstract code that indicates several details that we can cross-reference on our end. An extended-travel balance with a 25-4 stamp should be 25-5/8" long. In fact, it would be strange if it wasn't.

Now, you do raise a certain other problem with your sash weight. The 25-4 stamp is rated to hold 18 through 24 pounds. 16 pounds falls under that, and therefore the 25-4 stamp would be too strong.

It's odd for the original installers to put in the wrong stamp like that. I highly recommend that you double check the weight of your sash to ensure that it doesn't actually fall in that 18 through 24 pound range. If you are confident that 16 pounds is accurate, then let me know. I can send you a new order link for the 25-3, which carries 14 through 18 pounds.

I sent that email to you at around 3pm yesterday. Make sure to check your spam filter in case it was flagged on accident. Of course, if the stamp is wrong then you don't want to use it anyway. Just something to keep in mind.

It is confirmed that the Window weighs 16 lb.

I received your email from yesterday at 3:07 PM. Please send me the new order link ( for the correct length and weight) and the invoice so that I can order the part. What is the lead time to get parts?

Sure thing, I'll email you a new link right now. This will be for the new stamp of 25-3, rated for 14 through 18 pounds.

Please let me know if you wanted to make any other changes.
