Need Window Balance Identifcation- Taulman Services LLC 1-16-24

Question

I need some help. I cannot find this window balance and in specific the end piece that connects to the pivot lock shoe. What is this piece? what balance will be used for this? The balance has 26b  bsi at stamped on it. I have been searching for hour on all of these pieces.  It is a 1/2" by 1/2" and 26" long balance.

Hi there!

I recognize this. It's an old and discontinued balance but we can still help via custom order, though our replacement won't be the same as what you show here. To outline it for you, we'll be using a "skinny" ribbed version of our Series 795. This balance comes with a T-lock shoe by default but you won't be able to use it. You'll need to pop it off and find a way to re-install the metal clip that anchors to your pivot shoe for our replacement to function. Your old metal clip is obsolete so it's important that you hold on to it.

For us to get this moving for you, can you confirm the number of balances you'd like to order? Can you also tell us or show us a photo of how the balance installs at the top of the window track?

As for the pivot shoe, see the 15-134. This looks like it could be a good match but I recommend you compare the specifications below to confirm.
