Need a multi point mortise lock for patio door

Home Owner from Rochester, MN
I recently moved into a home with a patio door that did not have a mortise lock in place. I believe I need a multi-point mortise lock similar to part 82-265 but wanted to confirm. I'm attaching a few photos I took to make sure this lock will work. There is a keeper installed but I'm not sure if I need a specific one (e.g., 82-249) to match the lock. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Best,
Kevin

I can't confirm if the 82-265 will work based on these photos, unfortunately. Without the original to use as a reference, there is no way to confirm 100%. You will need to carefully review the dimensions we show on the 82-265 store page and use your best judgement if it will fit in the space provided.

I can at least tell you that the 82-265 is fully compatible with the 82-249 keeper. It might be a safe bet to get that just in case.

Thanks for following up, so the only way I'll know if this part (82-265) would fit is based on the measurements, correct? I couldn't determine if there was other information on the door that I was missing that might help me make sure I'm ordering the right part (or to go elsewhere to find the original part). I just didn't want to order it and then have to pay to return it should it not work.

Nope, measurements are the only way. There won't be any stamp, code, sticker, or marking on your door that tells you what locking hardware it uses. Most doors like yours use generic parts, so the only way to find what you need is based on physical details and comparison.

Great thanks! I just wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking anything. Thanks for the help Tom!
