Please help me identify this part by name. I would like to place an order today, Jan 13th, if possible. Also, as a new Glass Doctor Franchise Owner, I would like to know if you have a library with common part names, functions and diagrams that I can access. Thanks in advance!

Regards,

Hi, Nathan.

We don't have a direct replacement for the pivot shoe pictured here but I recommend you consider our 15-192 or 15-259. The 15-192 is designed to be used with the Series 170 & Series 171 coil springs, and the 15-259 is used with the Series 159 coil springs. When it comes to the 15-192, you will need to do some adaptation such as shaving down the bumps on the face so it can fit into the window track. Just keep in mind, altered items cannot be returned for a refund.

Then we have the 15-259. This can work as is and, in my opinion, works better than the original. I've posted a video below that will explain the replacement process and the others parts that are needed for this conversion.

To determine what coil weight options you'll need, weigh your sash on a scale and divide the weight by the total number of coils in the window.

We have no such library, unfortunately, but our full catalog of the parts we sell can be found here

The picture shows the original pivot bars and the CertainTeed Pivot Bar 26-175 replacements. I installed the CertainTeed Pivot Shoe 15-192 earlier this month and order the Pivot Bars later only to find the pivot bars are different from the original. I am also including photos of the sash. It would be great if you could recommend the right pivot bar.

Your old pivot bar isn't made anymore but the 26-336 replaces it. However, the bad news is that this won't work with the 15-192's cam. You would have to reuse the old cam in your original pivot shoe as a result.

The 26-083 may also be worth considering which is already compatible with the 15-192's cam.
