Need help in identifying which model balance I have

Question

I have a 37" single hung balance. There is a stamp (3640 BS.I. RC) at the base. After searching your website I believe this to be the S395 model (based on the top and bottom photos). The shoe however measures closer to an inch i think similar to part #15-002. Could this just be due to wear and tear? Could it be possible that the balance I have is a 37" with top#19-005 and shoe#15-002?

You're absolutely right, John. Your balance does in fact look compatible with our S395-27. There is also a strong possibility that your bottom balance shoe experienced some wear and tear over the years. Have another look to confirm this is the correct part. If so, then you can go with the 3640 option that supports a sash weight of 23-30 pounds.
