Need help with broken thingee (cam?) for double hung windoe

Question

I had the brilliant idea of cleaning my windows today and I cracked that little silver piece that the pivot bar goes into. (I should have just gone snowboarding today instead) I do not know who manufactured these windows but the tag on the window reads S/N 113-703741 with what appears to be the window size: 27 5/8 X 53 1/2. I could probably grab this part from another window in my garage but I'd prefer to replace it. Could anyone help me out? Many thanks. ?

Hey there,

I believe you'll need the 15-177 Coil Balance Shoe to replace the one pictured here. Take a look over the specifications and compare them to confirm.

If you are in need of replacement coils, the 1/2" thick Series 152 Coil Balance are the compatible springs for this shoe. They are secured to the shoes using the 33-072 screw.

To determine which coil you need for your assembly, you'll need to check for any stamps markings on the metal. If there aren't any, please see the tutorial below for detailed instructions.

If you cannot reuse the existing coil supports, you'll need the 15-143 Coil Bushing, 15-144 Coil Bushing Cap, and the 15-145 Coil Support Barrel. All three are used together to create the new support.
