Need help with getting part(s) (and instructions on removal)

I believe this might be from an "Quantum 2" window (there is a "Q2" on the latch) but as I cannot find any other identifying information I have no way of finding the right part (or "stamp" as your site indicates).

Hello,

It's hard to tell exactly what lock you have while it's still installed, but it reminds me strongly of our 90-294. I think this may be what you have but you'll have to look it over and see how well it compares.

As for the coil balances, take a look and compare the specifications of the 15-177 pivot shoe to yours removed from the window. If it's a match, see the S152 coil springs used with this assembly. We've also related the bushing, cap, and barrel on this page that support the coils.

As for the strength options, if there are no numbers on your original springs you'll need to weigh the window sash and divide the weight by the number of coils used on both sides. In the meantime, see the videos related on this page to help you through the replacement process. Thank you!

Hi,I was finally able to remove the shoe after I purchased the 15-177 from your site.  It appears the original shoe is 7/8" instead of 9/16" so it is a bit thinner, as is the spring coil itself.  I still don't have any stamps on the coil though. Any suggestions? Will the 15-177 work?  I don't see a thicker one on your site.

We did carry a thicker version of the 15-177 pivot shoe at one time, but unfortunately, it has been discontinued. We do have a possible solution but it would involve replacing the original coil balance hardware and pivot bars with the parts shown in the video below. Take a look at the conversion process and specifications shown on our product pages to see if this could work for your window. We haven't had the opportunity to test these parts in a window that uses your original hardware but it would be our best option at this time. Note that you'll still need to weigh the sash the choose the strength options for the new coil springs. If needed you're welcome to review our return policy here for the 15-177 shoes you already purchased.
