Need new balance and attachments

Thank you for reaching out to us! We're happy to look into this. Can you confirm whether this balance uses a screw or a hook to install at the top of the window track? Additionally, how many balances are you looking to order? 

Thanks for confirming! We recommend you consider the Series 795. This comes attached with a t-lock shoe by default, and we recommend going up 1" (S795-27) in length for the balance to make up the difference in the shoe.

Can you weigh the window sash and get back to us with the precise weight? That will allow us to confirm the correct spring calibration. 

The balance shown in your photo is for a tilt window, meaning the sash can be tilted forward for cleaning. Your first photo shows the balances disengaged, meaning that the sash would have already been removed. Could you clarify exactly what is stopping you from removing the sash?

Thank you for clarifying. I can see how it would be tricky to work around the shutters inside the house, but ultimately, the sash will need to be removed in order to install the replacement balances. You could try detaching the shutter hinges from the frame for more space to remove the sash to confirm the weight and install the replacement balances.
