Need new left and right spring assemblies for small (~12") double hung swing out vinyl window. See photo of length of spring req'd.

Need new left and right spring assemblies (36") for larger double hung swing out vinyl window.

First two photos are small window with spring assembly removed on left and still in place on right.

Second two photos are larger window with spring assembly still in place.

Hello! Your pivot shoe looks like a match for our 15-199, which is designed to be compatible with two different sized coil springs: the 1/2" thick Series 160 and the 3/8" thick Series 165. You'll need to measure your original spring to confirm which one would be best for your window.

The spring is 1/2" wide.

I sent in info on two different size window springs. The travel on the longer one, about 35" is almost 3 times the travel of the smaller , so I thought I would need two different springs. Maybe the 35" Series 160 will work for both?

There used to be coil springs with longer travel, like 60" or so, but I've never heard of anything with a shorter travel than the 30" mark.

Either way, they really only make one size now. I see no reason why a longer spring can't work in place of your short one.
