Bob from SWISCO responded:

Thanks for posting. Could you show us pictures of the balance removed from the window? Photos of the attachments at either end of the metal channel would be most helpful. Also, can you confirm that the length of the metal channel, not including the end attachments, is 28"? Many thanks.

A quick learner from Texas says:
The balance is broken and completely off the window. It says:
bsi 28 window channel balance 2790 31
inscribed on it.

It is 28" long and 1/2" wide channel.

The spring was broken and loose in the channel.

A quick learner from Texas says:
The top plastic end was broken as well.
The bottom is like the 15-002 shown in some of your balances.
The top is similar to the 19-004 as best I can tell.

Thanks for getting  back to us. I can't see the top nylon attachment in your photos, but if you say that it's the 19-004 then this will have to be a custom order. Before we begin, can you tell me the exact weight of the sash? Please be as precise as possible. Can you also tell me how many you need?

Once we have that information, I'll email you an order link and price quote for the requested quantity.

A quick learner from Texas says:
Pictures attached.
The weight was 23.6#.

Ah, I see. That's not our 19-004 top, that's our 19-005. The shoe also looks more like our 15-001 than our 15-002. The difference is that the 15-001 is 1-3/32" deep while the 15-002 is only 1" deep. I would double check to be sure. Make sure to account for wear when you measure; that is to say, keep in mind your shoe's depth may be a little less than it once was. If you find that the depth is between 15-001 and 15-002, then it's probably the 15-001.

With that in mind, our standard Series 395 would work well as a replacement.
