Need replacement for 26" x 1/2" Window channel balancer
Thanks,
Robert
There are two balances that look very close to your balances. Take a look at our S385-26 and S380-26 channel balances. Depending on the measurement of your bottom balance show will determine which of the two balances you will use as a replacement. With either one you choose, you will use a 2530 option. Look over the diagram below for more details.
The longest length on mine appears to be 1 1/8" no matter how many times I measure it, rather than 1 3/32", but I guess it must be the 15-004. The color itself, though, matches the 15-005 one.
In any event, I guess it must be the 15-004 one.
What is the next step? (and are these for Milgard windows, or some other make?)
Thanks,
Robert
Thanks for replying back to us, Robert. We have known customers who have had Milgard windows use the Series 385 channel balance as a replacement in their windows. That said, you should be able to use the S385-26 with a 2530 option.
Like to thank you - the 2530s arrived and I installed them just now - they work fine.
There is another window acting strange - I think it has the wrong tension strength rod. I took one from another window of the same type and am uploading a picture of it. It looks exactly like the one that I replaced with the 2530, except the numbers stamped on it are a bit different and the tension is a bit less. The numbers on this one are 25 2 ET CMC 4 (versus 25 3 GT CMC 2 for the one replaced with the 2530)
I suppose the 2520 should work for this one, but could you confirm? I uploaded photos of both the latest one and the one that we replaced with the 2530.
Thanks,
Robert
Your are right, Robert. You can go with the S385-26 channel balance with a 2520 option.
