Need replacement keyed patio door lock

Quick Learner from Escondido, CA
Hole spacing is 4 15/16". Key is missing for lock. This is a main entry door into house, so a key locking handle is critical! Reverse clamshell locking style. Apparently this style locking handle is discontinued and VERY hard to find. Probably original to the home when built in 1989. Please advise if this part is available. Thank you.

Hello,

It looks like our 82-009A handle set with the 82-306 exterior keyed pull should make suitable replacements for your hardware. The 82-009A is currently out of stock but we are working on getting more. In the meantime, I'd recommend signing up for the auto-notify option on our website so that you'll be emailed once they're back in stock. Thank you!

My clamp latches on to the door track from the opposite direction--reverse clamshell is what I have been told. Can the clamp be reversed? The ridge in the door frame has the lip in reverse. If the makes sense.

Ah, I see the difference that you're referring to. It appears that we used to carry the reverse clamshell-style handle set that you have but it was discontinued quite some time ago. The 82-009A may still work for you but I think the 82-005 surface mounted handle set with the 82-306 keyed exterior handle would be a safer bet.
