Need some cranks 60-c-7041-62. Small 6.

Quick Learner from Cleveland
Need some cranks for house built in 1970. Replacement ones I've gotten so far are either too narrow to fit on the sleeve or do t go all the way flush to the base. Part number 60-c-7041-62 with small 6 below. Many just need the knob but have heard can't get knobs alone.
Thanks

Hello,

It looks like you may have a handle from an Andersen operator. If so, see the 39-286, which attaches to a 3/8" gear bore. You would place the handle over the operator spline and then tighten it with a set screw. However, a set screw can only do so much to secure the handle if the operator's spline is worn down. If that is the case, we would need to see your entire operator, including the arms that move the sash, to compare to our inventory.  Thank you.

Thenks! I tried the 3/8 but it didn't go all the way flush to the mount. Almost seems like it needs wider diameter or deeper pocket?

Were you able to loosen the set screw before attaching the handle? If the set screw is tight, that would make it difficult to attach the handle. Give it a try and if you're still having trouble, please get back to us with photos of the operator the handle attaches to with the window open so the arms that move the sash are fully visible. If we can identify your operator, we'll be able to confirm which handles would be compatible.

Here's the new one you sent - can see it is not flush to mount - doesn't go all the way down and too wide outside Vs 2nd photo which is old one. Other photos include arm and specs of old and measurement. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for getting back to us. We did carry your old-style Andersen operator handle at one time but it is no longer available. I can see that the handle is not set all the way down on the operator base in your photos.

We do offer the 39-104 handle that has the 3/8" bore. This handle might be set down further on the operator's body. However, we do not have your operator to try it out and note that this handle only comes in white or aluminum color options. Look it over and see what you think.

let's try the 104 in aluminim and if it works i'll need several - how do I order?
thanks

Sure, the 39-104 can be purchased directly on our website by clicking on the highlighted product code or by giving our customer service team a call at (888) 991-1929.

Tried the 39-104 and it fit the bore depth but the 3/8 was now a little loose so set screw could not keep it set - is there an equivalent bore depth but slightly narrower bore diameter? Thanks!

Unfortunately, we do not have a closer match for your original handle that will attach to your operator. Your best option at this point would be to see if you could adapt something like our 39-365 and 39-366 operators, as well as the 39-504 track, to replace your original hardware. Note that these operators use the 39-114L handles.

Keep in mind that there are still no guarantees and converting your window to use this hardware would require adaptations such as making new screw holes and modifying the sill trim to accept the operator base. Take a look and see what you think.
