Need spring-loaded metal piece.

Home Owner from North Carolina
I have a window labeled 52-2905-WHT 15329614 7 2. The long spring-loaded metal piece including the plastic piece that was attached needs to be replaced on both sides. I have someone that will install for me if I can get the parts.

Hello!

Thanks for reaching out to us. This balance is too obscured by the window track to identify, I'm afraid. The only way for us to help is if you could remove an undamaged balance, along with the metal piece, and show us some photos. Let us know if that'd be possible!

The one that is already loose, I was able to move it partially out of the track and I am attaching two pictures of that, the main thing you can see is the pattern of holes. I have also attached a closeup of the plastic piece of an adjacent window which is not broken, and I noticed the plastic has what this written on it, which looks like PAT then a symbol that looks like a bug to me, then A610108. Hope this helps

Thanks for getting back to me! It looks like you have the Series 795 based on what I see here. This balance comes attached with the 15-195 by default but your T-lock shoe is too obscured by the window track so I'm not sure if this is what you have. You may want to remove yours from the window just to be safe. There should also be a stamp printed on the metal channel that you'll need to refer to determine what strength option to select for your replacements.

One important detail to note is that the Series 795 attaches to the top of the track using a screw, not a hook. If yours needs a hook then let me know; we can still help but your balance will have to be custom made.

I can't remove it completely because I think I'll break something else, and I think the handyman only wants to come here once, but I do see a horizontal screw near the top and I see markings that say 32 5 and then something I can't make out. More pictures attached. You can also see part of the thin top frame is broken, I guess he will have to try and put shims there unless you have a better idea.

That looks like a screw to me! In that case, you can use the stock Series 795 since there's no need for a custom order. Your 32 5 stamp doesn't match up with any of our listed strength options though. Your next step should be to measure the metal channel and then weigh your window sash to determine the proper strength option. There's a weight chart under the product description on the S795 store page that you can refer to which will tell you what option is best based on the weight of the sash.

I'm afraid we have no fix for the top of your window frame, unfortunately. I am very sorry for the inconvenience.
