Need spring shoe with pegs

A quick learner from columbia, TN says:
One of the photos shows a part that travels in the channel (also shown) that connects to the spring also in the channel and holds the window "up". I have not been able to find the part or even a channel replacement. I don't know the brand of the window (sorry!). They are about 22 years old. Appreciate any help and advise!

Hello,

The part in your first photo reminds me of the 15-104 Caradco friction shoe but, unfortunately, ours does not have the same spacer pegs shown in your photo. I'm not sure if you'd be able to use our part without these pegs but take a look and see what you think.

Thank you Casey! You are a rock star! Unfortunately, it appears that without those pegs, that part would not work. I was able to "engineer" a way to attach the spring to the top of the friction shoe so for now, it is working. The windows are over 20 years old so I'm not surprised parts are no longer available.

I'm glad to hear that you were able to find a temporary fix. If these parts are from a wood window, you may want to reach out to a local millwork that may be able to supply you with entirely new jamb liners to repair the window when the time comes.
