Needing new window 20" Channel Balances

Question

Hi there, I'm in need of replacing two channel balances on a single-hung window. The balances were damaged several years ago during a renovation, and one of them actually came off and was mistakenly discarded. We've been living with a mostly non-functional window ever since.

I still have the other side, however, and it seems to be the same as 20" SERIES 385 CHANNEL BALANCE. However, there is no stamp anywhere on it to tell the weight rating. The window these will be for is accessible, and I can weigh the actual moving pane if that determines/helps in knowing which part to get. Thank you!

Hello! If you have no stamp on your balance, then weighing your sash is your only other option. We have a chart on the S385-20 store page that tells you exactly how much weight each option supports, so all you have to do is weigh your sash on a scale and refer to that chart.
