New double mortice lock set

Question

I'm looking for a double mortice lock. Believe this comes is your 82-265. The locking mechanism broke and I'm looking for either the complete handle with the mechanism or just the mechanism itself. Color is almond.

The overall height is 11.75 inches. The width is .562 inches. The top hole to bottom hole dimension is 11.00 inches. This is how the faceplate screws in. Handle holes are 4.00 inches.

I'm guessing I need a new keeper. I think this is your 82-249. I also don't have a key to the lock. Would your 82-310 work OR should I consider replacing the handle?

The door is almond, but I'm ok with the mechanism / faceplate and keeper not being almond and a brass or yellow dich

Thanks for writing in! It does appear that the mortise lock you have is the 82-265 Multi-Point Mortise lock. Although, yours does appear to be missing the faceplate. The compatible keeper is the 82-249. Both of these parts are only available in brass.

To determine if these are the right replacement, you'll need to carefully compare the dimensions. Especially the installation hole spacing.

The 82-310 can be used to replace the existing key lock and it does come with its own set of keys.
