Handle has four holes. Two to secure handles & two to contain lock mechanism.

I'm afraid I don't recognize this. Could there be more to this lock set? If so, can we see a photo of the rest of it? If it's possible to see it installed, too, that would be a huge help. Thank you!

Thank you! That's a huge help. You know, I do recognize this. We have a couple different handle sets that are similar in design but if memory serves none of them will replace it. The locking mechanism is different.

I think your best bet would be to consider a surface mount handle set like our 82-005. These are nice because the locking mechanism is built into the handle itself, which means you don't have to rely on any internal mechanism inside the door itself. The only caveat is that you will probably have to redrill holes for it to install.

Look it over and let me know what you think of this solution.
