Lock broken, only one arm activates when locking or opening

It definitely sounds like the mortise has broken. Take a look at our 82-265, I think this might be what you're looking for. Please review our dimensions and let me know if you agree.

Looked at the 83-265, and it's 11" long from centerline of the mounting holes at the ends. My lock is around 9-7/8" for that same dimension - see new photos. (Note: there is an outer plate that goes on my door after the lock is mounted and it's mounting screws are at 11" but this is a separate plate).

Hello again! The 11" hole center spacing for the 82-265 is, indeed, for the outer plate. If your outer plate is also 11" then I think this is the lock you need.
