Greetings. This looks like either an S380-21 or S385-21. The only difference between these two balances is the depth of the bottom nylon shoe, or the 'heel-to-toe' measurement. Review the diagram below for reference, and compare to your old hardware to see which balance Series matches best. In either case for a new stamp option go with 2040.

Thank you, it measures 1 3/32 so it must be the S 385. I also have one that is almost identical, but it has the numbers 20 2 BV CMC 2 printed on it. Same plastic fittings top and bottom?

It sounds like that would also be a S385-21, but with a stamp option of 2020 instead. The stamp basically denotes how strong the balance is, or the weight range it has to support. Chances are the window in this case is the same height as the one the 20-4 balances came from, but lighter overall, hence the different stamp code.
