Old sliding door needs some TLC

Handy Person from Alcove Quebec

Hi,

I have an old cottage and I have had no luck getting parts for this old set of doors. I am hoping I don't need to replacement just yet, but with the difficulty in finding parts, I may be out of luck.

I would like a replacement surface mount lock/handle on the brown exterior.

I am wondering if the worn out seals on the door frame can be replaced somehow without removing the whole shebang? Is there another option for the seal?

I believe the rollers are also end of life, but your web interface says I can't upload more photos of them right now.

Oh yes, I included a picture of the micrometer in the weep holes. These weep holes have no cover on them and I was wondering which of your products is fit for the job.Can you folks help me with this?Dave

Hello,

Unforutnately, we do not carry an exact replacement for the handle set shown in your photos. Our best option would be to see if you could adapt the 82-005 surface-mounted handle set to work for your door. If you're looking for a keyed option, we also offer the 82-306, which is compatible with the 82-055. Review the dimensions and video below to see what you think.

As for the seals, unfortunately, we can't be sure of what you need while they are still installed. To get started, we'd need to see a clear end profile photo of an intact piece of your weatherstripping removed from the door frame with written-out dimensions to compare to our inventory. The removal process would depend on if the seal uses a flat backing or kerfed base for installation.

We may be able to supply replacement rollers for your door but we would need to see one of the originals uninstalled. See the video below to assist you.

We offer the 26-186 weep hole cover, which may work if you can drill new holes on either side of the cutout for the installation pegs. This cover is generally used on windows but may still work as long as it won't interfere with the functionality of the door.
