I ordered the operator that was said to have been the replacement for my original ut it does not work. The window does not close completely. Is there another operator that will work?

Hello there. I am sorry to hear that the 39-315 didn't work out for you; view our Return Policy here. Your operator's link arm designs looks a lot more like the 39-171 in my opinion. See the diagram below for reference. Let me know if any dimensions differ, and if so, how.

The link arm in your case does appear to be smaller, yes. The offset is also less dramatic. That said I don't believe we have a closer match to your original operator.

I'm still optimistic that our 39-171 is a good pick. There is a good chance that it will work as-is, but you should also be prepared to adjust the position of the bracket just in case the differences prove to be too much. That will require drilling new holes.
