I have attached 2 photos....The part i received is too small and looks off. The screw holes on my part in the door are 3.75 inches apart. Could you please let me know what the next steps might be.

Hi Chris. Sorry to hear that the 82-217A didn't work out for you. You can view our Return Policy here. I believe this longer-style mortise latch is a discontinued part that is unfortunately no longer made. I suggest you convert to a surface mount handle set like the 82-005. Take a look and let us know what you think.
