Question

Hi, I'm looking to replace the coil balances, pivot lock shoes and pivot bars on a window. It's a double hung, vinyl, champion window. The panes are both 49" wide x 35" tall.
as best as I can tell, the channels that the balances are in are 1.25" wide x .5 deep

Thanks for posting! I'm fairly certain the 15-177 Coil Balance Shoe is the one you'll need for the repair. To confirm, you'll need to carefully review and compare the specifications below.

I'll need to see a photo of an undamaged pivot bar to determine the right replacement. There are a few compatible with this shoe.

The compatible coil springs are the Series 152 Coil Balances. To determine the correct coils for the replacements, you'll need to search for a stamp/marking on them. Depending on the weight of the sash, you may be able to install just two coils in the window, rather than three.

If the covers over the coils can be reused, that would be suggested. If not, the 15-143 Coil Bushing, 15-144 Coil Bushing Cap, and 15-145 Coil Support Barrel will work to replace it.
