Parts included with 82-086 kit

I cannot tell from the description. Is the attachment for hook latch that attaches to the door frame included with kit?

I'm not sure what attachment it is you're referring to. When you say hook latch, do you mean the mortise lock? It would look like our 82-218 or 82-265

If so, then the 82-086 interacts with the mortise lock using the thumb lever and key lock tail, both of which are included with the set.

If I'm off the mark, please elaborate.

I an interested in what these books hook into and how it attaches to the door frame. Maybe this is called a strike plate?

Gotcha, thanks for clarifying. Yes, strike plate is a term that's commonly used. They're also referred to as keepers.

These do not come with the 82-086 kit. They're sold separately, as are the mortise locks. If you need a new strike plate, then we need to see a picture of both the old mortise and the old strike. The 82-086 is compatible with many, many mortise locks, each of which use their own keeper, so seeing what you have now is essential. That will allow us to make a recommendation.

There was not a strike plate on the door frame. The previous owners removed it for a pet door. I have attached photos and am willing to purchase a new system as long as the strike plate is included. Thank you!

Thank you for your photos. Have a look at our 82-226 mortise lock. Review our measurements and let us know if this is a match.
