The door handle on my patio door will not operate sometimes. I have to work with it to get it to move so I can open the door. I noticed the lever to operate the latch is very loose. I don't know the manufacture of the door handle is. If you need additional information I will be glad to supply it.

If you need to replace the handle set, something like our 82-030 would work for this setup. However, I suspect the real issue might be the mortise lock. That's why the thumb lever won't turn. To see if that's the case, remove the handle set and try manually throwing the lock with a slotted screwdriver. If it doesn't budge, you'll know the mortise lock is the culprit here. See our 82-265 for a possible replacement.
