Patio door handle and latch

Quick Learner from Louisville KY
Needing a patio door latch and handle, preferably with a key to the exterior if possible. The latch on the inside of the sliding door that hooks to lock the door broke. When removing the plate on the door, the latching mechanism fell down inside the hollow door. So all of it needs to be replaced. Hope you can help!

Hello there!

Thank you for reaching out to us. We're happy to look into this. I recommend you start by having a look at the 82-265 for the mortise lock. Carefully review our specifications and see if they match up with your old lock. Note that the hooks for our lock extend inward; if yours extends outwards we can't help, unfortunately.

As for the handle, can you confirm the installation hole center spacing? It looks like it could be 3-15/16" but we'd like to be certain. Can you also confirm whether the thumb lever is centered or in an offset position? You may need to remove the interior handle to get a better look at it.

82-265 looks like exactly what we need, and yes the hooks on our old lock extended inward. The handle installation hole spacing is 3-15/16."  The thumb lever is missing but I attached a picture of the door with the handle removed if that helps. Thank you!

This helps; thank you! Based on this photo, take a look at the 82-030B. It measures 3-15/16" on the installation hole centers, has an offset thumb lever, and has a keyed exterior pull. Review the specifications and see what you think.
