Patio door locking mechanism

A quick learner from Fremont, CA says:
We are looking for a replacement locking mechanism for our patio door. The screw holes for the screws in the lock pulls are 4 15/16" apart.

Sure thing! Your handle set looks like a match for our 82-032, while your mortise looks like our 82-218. Look these parts over and let me know if you had any questions.

A quick learner from Fremont, CA says:

It looks right except the hole width is 4 15/16. Do you have the same thing with the larger width?

Thanks for helping us with this.

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Hey, Tom. I'm afraid we don't have a handle set with a 4-15/16" hole spacing that can still interact with a mortise like what your door had originally. We do sell 4-15/16" handles, like the 82-005, but these use their own self-contained mortise latch independent of what's in the door. That could still work for you, if you're okay with just ignoring the mortise you have now. You would still need to drill new holes to install the keeper that comes with the 82-005, since it wouldn't work with your existing keeper.

Otherwise, your only option would be to drill new installation holes in the door itself to mount our 3-15/16" styles. I am sorry for the inconvenience.

A quick learner from Fremont, CA says:
Thanks for your help. We may need drill new holes.
