I need a patio door roller assemble with a series of 3/16" barrels instead of a standard wheel. There are about a dozen barrels in the housing and they travel around track as the door slides back and forth. I've seen a lot, but have never seen these before. They are installed on a vinyl patio door built in 1998.

I'm not sure what you have. Could you remove the rollers from the door and take a few pictures of them separately? That would be a huge help as we research a replacement. Thank you!

We actually found a possible match. Please see our 81-280 and let me know if that's close to what you need.
Update: the original roller is discontinued and no longer available.

I've replaced that roller with something like 81-279 several times. It worked great. The roller I was using had a higher adjustment screw(more like 81-277), so I had to lift the edge of the door and angle the screwdriver up to reach the screw. Saved money. Those treads are noisy too. I think it's a silly design, but it works, so I can't complain.
