Patriot window balancer

A home owner from Chittenango, NY says:

Hello,

I have a Patriot window, with bad balancer. I think I've done my research and wanted to see if you can confirm I'm right. I believe 795 series will work, 36B in long with a 15-195B attachment at the bottom. The old channel is stamped 36b. I assume you'd suggest replacing both sides If you could tell me if I'm in the ballpark or not it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Dave

Hey Dave. Yes, you're in completely the right ballpark. if the metal channel is 36" long, then this is an S795-36 with a stamp option of 36B. You'll need the 15-195B, which you can swap out with the shoe that comes by default with this balance (our 15-195). The video below shows how to do this. The only other thing I'd check is to make sure this balance attaches to the top of the window jamb with a screw-on tab. If it uses a hook instead, let us see.

The old one is attached with a screw and tab. Thanks for the help.

Great, then the S795-36 and 15-195B should be everything you need. Let us know if you have any other questions.
