We have several of these latches that have broken. There are two tabs that stick out when closed. The tabs go into a groove in the frame, but the window must slide past that part of the frame when the window opens, so nothing else can stick out of the back of the latch body.
There is also a pin that sticks out of the bottom center that causes the latch to close automatically when the window closes (when the pin is pushed in, the latch pops closed).
The spacing between the two screw mounts appears to be 2 5/16", and they are set about 11/16" from the back of the latch body.
Do you know anything about these latches, or do you carry anything that might work for this window? The latches have the brand name "Peak" on the bottom, but I haven't been able to find any other information about them.
Thanks,
Aaron

Hello,
Unfortunately, we do not carry a direct replacement for this latch but we do have a few contenders. I'd like for you to take a look at our 90-252 cover and 90-253 latch mechanism.
Also, you could consider our 90-323 sash lock and keeper set. Look them over and see if one of these options might work for you. Thank you!

I'm curious if the originator of this thread found the Swisco suggestion helpful. I have the same 'Peak' positive action latch. The housing is case aluminum and fractured in multiple places on one of my windows. Not sure what brand these windows are (assuming Amsco or another builder grade brand). Looking for an alternate latch. The distance between the two screws is exactly as noted in original thread.
