Philip Stayton window - replacement for Sash Window Channel Balance

Question

Hi,
I am looking for replacement for Sash Window Channel Balance for Philip Stayton Windows
20-2-ED5 CMC 68. for normal window
20-3-GD5 CMC 87. for a wider window with the same height.

Both channels are physically the same, but 20-3 supports wider and heavier window with the same height.

Your winged balance is either a Series 380 or Series 385 channel balance. The difference lies in the shoe. Measure to see which you need. The Series 380 balance has the 1" shoe shown below. The Series 385 uses the 1-3/32" shoe.

If the metal bar measures 21" inches, choose S380-21 or S385-21 , depending on the shoe size. Then, find a stamp option.

It's possible that your balances need "2030" and "2020" stamp options. Each of those options holds a unique range of sash weights, shown in the chart in the product description online. Weigh both sashes to be sure that they fall within the 2030 and 2020 weight ranges, respectively. If they don't, find which range they do fall in, and choose that option.
