The coil has a letter E stamped on the end of the coil.

Hey there. This looks like an older version of the 15-177 Pivot Shoe, which works with Series 152 Coil Balance springs sold separately. A spring stamped 'E' means you can use the S152-5 5 pound spring. For new coil covers, see the 15-143, 15-144 and 15-145. These pieces 'sandwich' around the coil spring.
