Pivot Bar

Question

Approx 15 years old double hung window - both tilt in
Today one rusted thru and broke off.
Can not find a replacement from photos.
The sill is notched to allow the bar to drop down below sill
Not sure why a straight version wouldn't work.
This one is more of a Z shape as shown in the photos
I probably should replace a dozen of these, so if you
could identify a solution, it would be great

Hello! I've seen this old "Z" shaped pivot bar before. They haven't made these in a long time, but believe it or not I find that straight-bars like our 26-040 work perfectly fine. I actually didn't think they would until I tried it myself. There didn't appear to be any negative side effects at all so I think it's definitely worth considering in your case.
