Pivot Bar Help

A home owner from Florida says:
Long piece is serviceable. Short one is the broken one. Picture of frame shows sash the part goes into.

This is called a pivot bar. It's what connects the sash to the pivot shoe. This might be our 26-040. Go over the dimensions and see what you think.

A home owner from Florida says:
Bob ... the dimensions are in fact 3/16 high (match), but width is right at 1/4 instead of 5/16 and length is 2 inches and the pre-drilled hole is at a 1/2 inch. My suspicion is that the extra length and the placement of the screw really doesn't matter?I think it can be drilled anywhere along the base of the window. The problem I think is the 1/16 in width?I just put the piece back in the window and it's pretty snug?I don't think I have that extra clearance. Do you all have anything that is 1/4?

Bob from SWISCO responded:

If it has a 1/4" width, take a look at our 26-313 instead. Now, you are correct: the exact length of the pivot bar doesn't matter. Ideally you do want the distance between the center of the mounting hole and the tip that fits into the pivot shoe to match. If it doesn't, you could drill a new hole if worst comes to worst, though you'd want to take care not to damage the glass in the sash while doing this. Let me know if you have any other questions.
