Two types of Pivot Shoe

Quick Learner from Minneapolis, MN
Looking for two replacement pivot shoes for the upper sash. Also, I cannot see any breaks in the track for shoe removal, so will likely need advise and/or a jamb spreader. Jamb overlap on each side appears to be 1/8"+. Will jambs have that range of play to spread? Looking to get parts FedEx'd to satisfy home inspection comments to complete home sale. Shoe channel is 9/16" deep.

Hello! This old pivot shoe isn't made anymore, but I have had a lot of success using our 15-046 as an alternative. The design may be different but it interacts with both the pivot bar and balance in the same way. The only thing you need to do is ensure that the dimensions are the same: specifically width" x thickness." They should be, but you can never be too safe.

As for removal, jamb liners will work for you but these can be expensive and I don't normally advise buying a set unless you plan on repairing many, many different windows for a living. It may be easier in your case to just make the cutout yourself. The video below will show you exactly how we do it.
