Pivot Shoe Assembly

Question

Confirming the correct Pivot Shoe was ordered, 15-192.
Note, the beveled Cam shape inside. The older Pivot Bar will not fit in the Cam of the new Pivot Shoe.

Hello there. This is actually Simonton Coil Balance and system in shoe that is no longer made. Though the Certainteed pivot shoe looks quite similar, customers have reported it does not properly fit Simonton windows. You might get it to fir by shaving down the alignment ridges on its surface, but we can't promise it--and even then there is the issue of the pivot bar.

Because of this, we've devised a substitute. You can use our 15-259 Pivot Shoe instead; however it will require you replacing the coil springs with the Series 159 instead. The video below shows how.
