Pivot Shoe Fitment

Home Owner from NJ
I'm looking to replace broken pivot shoes on the bottom sash of a tilt-in double hung window. The windows are generic replacement windows that are about 25 years old with no markings or part numbers.

The spiral balances seem to be in OK shape, but I'd be willing to replace those to ensure that all parts work together. The existing spiral balances are 27" long, 5/8" nominal diameter with red-tips.

My main concern is finding a pivot shoe that would work with the pins on my window sash. Please advise as to what you would recommend.

I've attached three photos - the sash pin, the exiting broken shoe (still installed), and the "business end" of one of the spiral balances that I removed.

Thanks for you assistance!

Hi there. Thanks for posting. Let' s start off with your spiral balance. Take a look at our S600-17 to see if this is compatible with your part. I believe our 15-173 pivot shoe could work for you. Carefully compare the width, height, and thickness of your pivot shoe to ours to confirm this is a match. As for your pivot bar, because it is still installed we are not able to identify it properly. You will need to remove it and send us photos of the part in order for us to recommend a replacement.
