Pivot Shoe and Pin

Contractor from Massachusetts
I am trying to find some replacement pivot shoes and pins for the windows in the picture.

The closest match pivot bar I see is 26-473

The closest match pivot shoe I see is 15-015

The dimensions appear to be correct.

Questions --

Does the above pivot pin fit the above pivot shoe

Does this look like the correct shoe and pin to you?

Thank you.

Thanks for reaching out. The 26-473 pivot bar will fit in the 15-015 pivot shoe, but I think the 15-046 might be a better choice in pivot shoes. Review the dimensions and see if they align with yours. I notice in the third photo, there is a master frame adjusting screw sticking out inside your pivot shoe. That screw should be flush to the track so the pivot shoe can pass freely. It's hard to make out, but the screw should have a slot on the end for a screwdriver to screw the screw back into the frame. I don't believe this adjusting screw will come out without damaging the track.

Thanks for the info. As the parts are not expensive I'll order some of both shoes and see which fits better.

That screw with the missing head in the photo is a bit of a mystery. Our best guess is that someone screwed it in there to hold the window in place after the pivot bar broke. We were able to remove the remainder of the screw and with some tlc can hopefully extend the life of the window.

This is a replacement window that predates our ownership. A couple of years ago I would have just replaced the entire window since it's so old and in rough shape. That was when our supplier charged $225 for a window. Now suppliers are quoting $750 for the same small DH windows. Now we are forced to make everything last many years longer in these class C rentals.
