Pivot box

Question

I am replacing pivot bars (26-040). I have a couple of pivot boxes where the old bar broke off and I can't get the piece out. My pivot box appears to be two separate pieces, the box and the spring. Are they one piece or does the pivot box separate from the spring? Any idea what box I need with the 26-040 bar?

You might be able to get the pivot bar out with pliers. If not though, it is indeed possibly you'll need to just replace the pivot shoe. This looks like our 15-087, which uses Series 180 Coil Balances sold separately (that top housing is the 15-086, also sold separately). Let me know if you have further questions.
