Pivot shoe

Home Owner from Michigan
Hi
I was cleaning my double hung windows and pulled the top window out and broke the pivot lock shoe?
I haven't taken it out because I hurt my back when it came out trying to catch it. Can you tell me the part (s) I will need to fix it?

Thanks for posting. From what I can see, I suspect you have the 15-177 Pivot Shoe, but it will still be best to remove and compare when you can, just to be safe. See the diagram below for reference.

This looks very close to the 15-177. I see slight variations. As you can see it is just the metal cup that has fractured. Can those be replaced separately?

That metal cup is called the "cam." These unfortunately aren't sold separately, so you do need a whole new pivot shoe. The good news is that our 15-177 can replace your original. Yours is just an older version. The modern 15-177 should be compatible with all the original hardware.
