Pivot shoes for Mastic PVC tilt windows

Home Owner from Barre, MA

I would like to buy a few spare pivot lock shoes for Mastic PVC tilt windows installed in our Mass. house in 1999. I'm aware that the company is out of business. I've tried to contact their successor company to no avail. The inside-the-track shoe dimensions are: 1" wide x 1-7/8" high x 1/2" deep. The open cam slot is 3/16 x 5/16". They are made of nylon and cast metal.

I've attached two photos of the shoes as installed: the first with an intact shoe and the second with the broken shoe.

Do you have any suggestions as to whether any of your products might fit...like maybe your #15-167? What is your minimum order size? Thank you.

Charles, you're right, it does look like the 15-167 Pivot Lock Shoe.

The balance replacement would be our Series 370 Channel Balance.

Two questions:
1. How do I install the new pivot lock shoe in the window track?
2. How do I know if I need a new channel balance(ours measures 27")? At this time, the sash cord on the broken-shoe side has been pulled up to the bottom of the balance by spring tension. Also, I have tilt windows and the Series 370 says it is designed for non-tilt.
Thanks.

1. Take a look at this discussion on how to remove and install a pivot lock shoe. Hopefully this will help you out.

2. The Series 770 Channel Balance is used for tilt windows. The fact that the spring at the end of your balance sprung up gives me an indication that your balance is still okay and probably good to reuse.
