Pls Confirm Channel Balance

Handy Person from Melbourne, FL
I have several non-tilting channel balances to order & replace and believe these are Series 395 Channel Balances.  However, due to the quantity I want your professional confirmation so I order the correct balances.
Metal channel width  is 1/2"-9-16".
Markings on 3 different sizes are:
23 4 DQ CALDWELL (metal part is 24" long; window ~19lb)
28 4 DQ CALDWELL (metal part is 29" long; window ~16.5lb)
34 3 DQ CALDWELL (metal part is 35" long; window ~22.5lb)

Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out to us. We're happy to look into this. Before we make our recommendation, we would also like to see an image of the inside of the balance’s metal channel, where the innerspring connects to the pulley mechanism; this connection is located in the middle of the channel.

Thank you!

I've attached pictures of the balance top and bottom portions facing the window frame.
Sorry for the delay replying, we have our whole house being repiped, so life has been a bit chaotic for us recently.  However I truly appreciate your assistance.

No problem, thank you for the additional photos! The Series 395 would be our recommendation based on what you show here.

For the 24" balance, you can select the 2340 stamp option. A pair of balances with this stamp will support a sash weighing 18 to 23 pounds.

For the 35" balance, you can select the 3430 stamp option. A pair of balances with this stamp will support a sash weighing 18 to 23 pounds.

Regarding the 29" balance, did you ever have trouble opening and closing the window? I ask because the old 28 4 stamp is rated for a sash weighing 23 to 28 pounds. If the sash is 16.5 pounds, the 28 4 stamp would be too strong for the window.

With that said, you may be better off with the 2830 stamp rated for 16 to 23 pounds.

Please let us know if you have any questions!
