Pozzi casement window crank

Quick Learner from Washington
One of Pozzi casement windows (installed in 1989) suddenly stopped closing properly. The worm drive screws out instead of closing the window. In comparing it to one of the other windows, it appears either the gear or the worm drive is worn out. In addition the part that is supposed to hold the worm drive in place, backs out every time I attempt to close the window using only the crank mechanism. I don't find any part numbers but it is a Truth crank.

Hi, Dan.

It looks like your worm gear is stripped. When this happens, I'm afraid it means the entire operator has broken down and needs to be replaced.

Take a look at the two sets of operators that we've related for you. Look over our dimensions for these items and compare them to your original hardware to see how they match up. If you need a new handle as well, please see our 39-114L or 39-205, depending on the style you prefer.

I only see links to the two different handle styles. What are the model numbers of the crank mechanism itself?

The two sets of operators are listed on this page: our 39-031 & 39-032 or our 39-155 & 39-156. Carefully go over the dimensions for each set and compare them to your original assembly to see which set matches up for what you need.
